THE SWEET STORY OF ANDIE’S COOKIES
For almost 20 years, Andrea Freibauer has been delighting family, friends, and co-workers with her delectable cookies during the holidays and other special occasions. Each and every year, she would hear the same comment… “You really should go into business and sell these cookies!” Dreams became a reality in 2014 when Andrea (aka Andie) and her husband, Larry, opened up Andie’s Cookies, LLC for business!
The philosophy of Andie’s Cookies is simple: Bake a variety of artisan cookies handcrafted in small batches with love using nothing but the best ingredients out there. Whenever possible, we use fresh, local ingredients, many which are non-GMO and/or organic. For example, we use fresh herbs, real lemons, pure vanilla extract and high-quality cinnamon and cocoa powder. We do not use artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives in our cookies – never have and never will. Since we don’t put anything in our cookies that your mother or grandmother wouldn’t, they don’t have the extended shelf life of “factory cookies”. Don’t worry though – they tend not to hang around long enough to get stale. To keep Mother Earth healthy, we use eco-friendly packaging that is compostable and biodegradable. We are also supportive of other local makers, sourcing ingredients and materials from Connecticut and New England companies.
